Mighty Mint

Now is the perfect time to enjoy the cooling sensation, and the many nutritional properties of fresh mint. Mint is great for eating fresh, applying to the skin, or inhaling for aromatherapy benefits.

INSIDE:

Fresh mint is packed with Vitamin A, Iron, Manganese and Folate. It can be crushed into cold drinks, steamed in hot drinks, mixed into sauces and stews or mixed with fresh fruit. Mint leaves can also be eaten alone for a lovely breath freshener and digestive aid. It can soothe IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), relieve indigestion, and even improve brain function.

OUTSIDE:

Mint is most valued for its cooling properties. In the summer heat, its the ideal way to help keep you from overheating, and help soothe irritated skin. Never use essential mint oil straight. Instead, dilute 3 drops into four ounces of water in a spray bottle for an uplifting and refreshing complexion spray. Dilute 3-6 drops into your favorite shower gel, lotion or body cream (4 ounces minimum) for a lovely ‘pick me up’ during bath/maintenance time.

BREATHE IT IN:

Inhaling mint can help improve clarity in more ways than one. It can help relieve congestion and break up mucus blockages. It can also help improve mental clarity and brain function. Add 3-6 drops to an aromatherapy diffuser to help literally clear the air around you.

No matter how you use it, mint is a refreshing addition to help with overall health and wellness.
